BasePDH is an online continuing-education provider for licensed Professional Engineers. Every course is written to the NCEES Continuing Professional Competency (CPC) standard that state boards base their rules on, with stated learning objectives and technical content drawn from published engineering research and agency guidance. Complete the course at your own pace, pass a graded assessment, and receive a certificate of completion with a public verification link the moment you finish. A Professional Development Hour is one hour of continuing-education activity, and it is the unit most state engineering boards use. Each course states its PDH value on the course page and in your cart, and that value is what appears on your certificate. Some boards use CEUs instead; one CEU equals ten PDH.

Yes. The opening portion of every course is free to preview on the course page, so you can judge the depth and relevance of the material before you buy. The rest of the course unlocks after purchase. Browse courses to get started.

Indefinitely. A purchased course stays in My Courses along with your certificate, so you can go back to it whenever you need to.

Add the course to your cart from its course page, select the state you are licensed in, and check out. Access is immediate: the full course and its assessment are available in My Courses as soon as your order goes through.

So we can flag acceptance issues before you pay. A few boards only accept continuing education from providers they have pre-approved, and our courses do not currently qualify there. If you select one of those states we tell you at checkout rather than after you have earned the credit. See state requirements for the full list.

Yes. If your firm has issued you a Firm Credit, or you have a promo code, enter it in the cart before checkout. Firm Credits start with BPF-.

Two guarantees. First, if a course is not right for you, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, as long as you have not received a certificate. Second, if you complete a course and your state board does not accept the credit, we refund you in full; we may ask for the board's written determination. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Read the full refund policy or email support@basepdh.com with your order number to request one.

Every order is listed under Orders in your account, with the order number, the courses purchased and the amount paid. A receipt is also emailed to the address you used at checkout as soon as the order is placed.

Open the course from My Courses and use the "Take quiz" button on the course page. You need to be signed in with the account that purchased the course. The assessment presents one multiple-choice question at a time, lets you go back and change answers, and grades everything when you submit.

70% or higher. Your score is shown immediately after you submit, and for any question you missed we show the correct answer so you know what to review.

Retake it as many times as you need at no charge. Earlier attempts are not held against you and are not recorded on your certificate. Once you pass, the assessment is closed for that course and your certificate is issued.

It is issued automatically after you pass, with no waiting for a review. You can open it right away from the results screen, and it stays available from the course page and from My Courses. A copy is also sent to the email address on your account.

Your name, the course title, the number of PDH earned and the completion date, along with a public verification link and QR code.

Yes. Every certificate you have earned is listed in My Courses with the completion date and your score, and you can open or download it at any time. Most boards require you to retain proof of completion for several years after the renewal.

Your certificate of completion for each course, which carries the PDH value, completion date and verification link, is the record boards ask for. Certificates are always available in My Courses. The graded assessment behind each certificate is also on record with us.

Email support@basepdh.com and we will prepare an audit package at no cost: your certificates, course descriptions with learning objectives and PDH values, and assessment records, assembled as a single PDF you can forward to the board.

Click "Sign in" and enter the email address you used at checkout. You will receive a one-time code by email, so there is no password to remember. Your courses, certificates and orders are all tied to that email, so use the same one every time.
