Oregon
Info
Based on your state requirements, on-demand courses are accepted in your state. Our courses are structured to meet NCEES Continuing Professional Competency (CPC) guidelines — the nationally recognized standard for continuing education. Each course includes a final graded assessment and completion certificate, giving you the documentation you need for your state's renewal audit. Engineers are responsible for confirming their specific board requirements.
- PDH Hours Required
- Every two years, Professional Engineers in Oregon are mandated to complete 30 PDHs.
- Renewal Dates
- The renewal deadlines in Oregon vary based on the licensee's last name: A-F renew by December 31 of odd-numbered years; G-K by June 30 of odd-numbered years; L-R by December 31 of even-numbered years; and S-Z by June 30 of even-numbered years.
- PDH Carryover
- Should engineers exceed the required PDHs within a renewal period, a maximum of 15 PDHs can be transferred to the next cycle.
- Board Pre-Approval
- Oregon's Board does not pre-approve courses or providers. Engineers have the responsibility to ensure their continuing education activities comply with the Board's standards.
- Approved Content
- To comply with Oregon's mandates, courses must be technical and relevant to the engineer's current profession and licensure.
- Approved Activities
- The Board acknowledges internet-based courses as an acceptable method for engineers to acquire their PDHs, offering flexibility and a wide range of learning opportunities.
- Notes
- For professionals holding dual licenses, the biennial requirement remains at 30 PDHs. It's crucial for engineers to keep detailed records of their PDH completion for at least 5 years. Our platform simplifies this with features allowing instant access, printing of certificates, and secure online storage for a minimum of ten years, accessible anytime through your account.
