New Hampshire

PDH Hours Required
Professional Engineers in New Hampshire are required to complete 30 PDHs biennially.
Renewal Dates
Licenses must be renewed by the last day of the licensee's birth month. The renewal year is determined by the year of initial licensure: those obtained in even-numbered years renew in even-numbered years, and those in odd-numbered years renew in odd-numbered years.
PDH Carryover
There is a provision for carrying over a maximum of 15 PDHs into the subsequent renewal period, ensuring that excess credits obtained in one term can benefit the next.
Board Pre-Approval
The New Hampshire Board does not pre-approve courses or providers. It is the responsibility of each engineer to ascertain whether an activity meets the Board's standards.
Approved Content
Content must be of a technical, ethical, or managerial nature relevant to the practice of engineering. This criterion is meant to encompass a broad spectrum of subjects that contribute to the professional's practice and professional responsibility.
Approved Activities
New Hampshire's Board accepts internet-based courses as part of the continuing education requirements. There is no restriction on the number of PDHs that can be obtained through online courses, providing flexibility for professionals.
Notes
It is mandatory for professionals to maintain records of PDH completion for a minimum of 4 years. Our platform aids in this process by enabling the immediate access and printing of certificates after successful course completion. Additionally, we ensure your certificates of completion are securely stored and accessible for a minimum of ten years via your online account.
