PDH Hours Required
Professional Engineers in Nevada are mandated to complete 30 PDHs every two years.
Renewal Dates
Renewal periods are structured according to last names: January 1 of odd-numbered years for A-E, July 1 of odd-numbered years for F-K, January 1 of even-numbered years for L-R, and July 1 of even-numbered years for S-Z.
PDH Carryover
Professionals can transfer a maximum of 15 PDH to the subsequent renewal cycle. However, credits earned for ethics and laws/rules (NAC/NRS) are excluded from this carryover privilege and must be acquired within the current period.
Board Pre-Approval
The Nevada Board does not pre-approve courses or providers. Engineers have the responsibility to ensure their continuing education activities comply with the Board's criteria.
Approved Content
Effective from December 14, 2020, there are special requirements for each renewal cycle: engineers need 2 PDHs in engineering ethics and 1 PDH covering the Nevada Administrative Code and Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 625. The continuing education courses should contribute to advancing or expanding the professional's competence in their field, with a focus on technology updates, procedural enhancements, and adherence to ethical standards.
Approved Activities
The Board acknowledges internet-based courses, provided they include a mandatory graded quiz to demonstrate proficiency and comprehension. Our platform's online courses fulfill this requirement, aiding professionals in meeting the stipulated educational criteria.
Notes
Engineers are required to keep records of their PDH completion for a minimum of 3 years. Our service simplifies this by offering instant access and printing of certificates upon successful course finalization. We also safeguard your certificates of completion, ensuring they're accessible for a minimum of ten years through your online account.
