How many PDH does a Nebraska PE need?
Nebraska PEs complete 30 actual hours of engineering-related learning each biennial renewal period, including 1 hour on the ethical issues of professional practice. Content must be technical or part of the profession's body of knowledge as defined by the national engineering societies.
When does a Nebraska PE license renew?
License renewal deadlines are December 31 of odd-numbered years for professionals with last names starting A-K, and December 31 of even-numbered years for those with last names starting L-Z.
Can Nebraska PEs carry over PDH?
Up to 15 hours earned beyond the requirement may be carried into the next renewal period, including hours a new licensee earns during the exempt first period.
Does the Nebraska board pre-approve courses?
The Board does not pre-approve courses or providers. It is the responsibility of each engineer to ensure chosen activities meet the Board's standards.

What content counts toward Nebraska PDH?
For content to be eligible, it must enhance the licensee's understanding and application of engineering principles and methods. One PDH must be dedicated to the subject of Engineering Ethics. Topics not accepted include Business Skills, Firm Management, and Personal Development. While online self-study is limited to 25% of total hours (7.5 PDH per cycle), there are no limits on interactive educational experiences.
Which activities count in Nebraska?
Though self-study courses are capped at 7.5 hours per renewal period, other forms of educational activities are not restricted. These include offerings from professional societies, technical associations, government agencies, accredited education institutions, and IACET-approved providers.
Web-based course offerings provided by other types of providers may constitute no more than one-fourth of the biennial education requirement that is six hours for architects or seven and one-half hours for professional engineers. Nebraska Board of Engineers and Architects, Rule 9.3.1

I met another state's CE requirement. Does that satisfy Nebraska?
