Kentucky
Info
Based on your state requirements, on-demand courses are accepted in your state. Our courses are structured to meet NCEES Continuing Professional Competency (CPC) guidelines — the nationally recognized standard for continuing education. Each course includes a final graded assessment and completion certificate, giving you the documentation you need for your state's renewal audit. Engineers are responsible for confirming their specific board requirements.
- PDH Hours Required
- Professional Engineers in Kentucky are mandated to complete 30 PDHs biennially, a requirement effective since June 30, 2010.
- Renewal Dates
- Renewal falls on June 30 of odd years for engineers with last names beginning with A – K, and on June 30 of even years for those with last names beginning with L – Z.
- PDH Carryover
- A maximum of 15 PDHs can be carried forward into the subsequent renewal period.
- Board Pre-Approval
- The Board does not pre-approve providers or courses, entrusting each engineer to ascertain whether an activity fulfills the Board's criteria.
- Approved Content
- Continuing education hours should foster the professional growth and development of the engineer, encompassing technical, ethical, or managerial subject matter.
- Approved Activities
- Accepted activities include continuing education courses like those offered by us, as long as they are relevant to engineering practice, cover technical, ethical, or managerial topics, are organized learning programs, are conducted by qualified individuals, and do not promote a specific product or service.
- Notes
- Engineers also holding a land surveying license can apply PDH units earned towards the land surveyor requirements. PDH completion records should be retained. We assist in this by providing instant access to certificates upon course completion, along with a secure ten-year online storage for your certificates of completion.
