How many PDH does a Delaware PE need?
Professional Engineers are required to complete 24 PDHs biennially. 2-6 PDHs must be in professional ethics, a maximum of 9 PDHs in project management or business skills, and the rest in technical courses. Dual licensed engineers/surveyors may attribute up to 12 PDHs to land surveying practices.

When does a Delaware PE license renew?
License renewal is due by June 30 of even-numbered years.
Can Delaware PEs carry over PDH?
No PDH credits may be carried forward into the next renewal period.

What content counts toward Delaware PDH?
Qualifying activities are those with clear objectives to maintain, improve, or expand skills and knowledge relevant to engineering practice, excluding regular job duties.

Which activities count in Delaware?
Distance learning is an approved method for PDHs, with no limit on the number of distance learning hours.

Other Delaware rules to know
PDH records are to be maintained for 3 years. "Retired" or "Inactive" status engineers are exempt from PDHs but must fulfill missed PDHs (up to 48) if they return to active practice.

Do inactive or retired licensees need PDH?

Does military service change the requirement?
