State Requirements
Arkansas
Info
Based on your state requirements, on-demand courses are accepted in your state. Our courses are structured to meet NCEES Continuing Professional Competency (CPC) guidelines — the nationally recognized standard for continuing education. Each course includes a final graded assessment and completion certificate, giving you the documentation you need for your state's renewal audit. Engineers are responsible for confirming their specific board requirements.
- PDH Hours Required
- Professional Engineers in Arkansas are required to complete 30 PDHs biennially. Content should be technical, professional, or managerial, aimed at maintaining or improving skills relevant to the licensee's field of practice.
- Renewal Dates
- License renewal is due by December 31 of even-numbered years for licenses ending with an even number, and odd-numbered years for licenses ending with an odd number.
- PDH Carryover
- Engineers may carry forward up to 30 PDHs into the next renewal period. Dual licensees may carry forward up to 40 PDH, with restrictions.
- Board Pre-Approval
- The Board does not pre-approve courses or providers. It is the responsibility of each engineer to determine the relevance of an activity to their professional development.
- Notes
- Dual licensees need 40 PDHs per renewal, with 10 in each profession. Non-resident compliance is accepted from approved jurisdictions.
