What content counts toward Alabama PDH?
Qualifying activities maintain, improve, or expand your knowledge and skills in engineering. College courses, continuing education courses, seminars, workshops, technical presentations, teaching, published work, patents, and professional society activity all count, and content may be technical, ethical, or managerial. Alabama does not mandate an ethics hour.
Which activities count in Alabama?
Online, correspondence, video, and audio courses count when the course requires you to demonstrate completion, for example with a graded quiz, and there is no cap on hours earned this way. Self-study without an assessment is not accepted.

New licensees are credited 30 PDH for their first renewal. Renewal is online only, and if you are selected for audit you upload your certificates while renewing, so keep them for the whole cycle. A license not renewed by December 31 goes into expired status and can be reinstated for up to two years, after which you must reapply.
